Grandma Yin grew up in a fishing village outside Hong Kong. She and Grandpa Wing Gong came to America barely speaking English, spent ten years learning the trade in a Novi kitchen, and opened The Golden Moon in Flint in 1984.
When Grandpa passed soon after, their children kept the woks burning. Forty years later, the Yue family is still here every day, cooking the same recipes for the families who grew up on them.
